Fernanda Vizeu is a Brazilian actress and performer. Was born in 1989 and lived in Chile and the United States until 19 year old.
In 2013 graduated in Scenic Arts by “ETET Martins Penna”, in Rio de Janeiro, the most ancient acting technical school of South America.
In the last years have been developing projects that dialogue with her personal experiences, researching the boundaries between art and life.
Among her authorial works, “E as pessoas na sala de jantar” (And the people in the dining room) and “Catracacatraca” – co-created from the context of popular protests in Brazil during the “Journeys of June 2013” –, got viral in social networks.
The registries of these performances were presented in international art festivals in Buenos Aires, Berlin, Venice, New York and Seoul. Also in press articles and art publications.
Between 2014 and 2016 lived in Berlin, performing the tour-performance of her co-authorship “A Tour in Berlin”, guiding the spectators through the historical sites of the german capital.
And deepened her research over the performances created from the context of “Jornadas de Junho 2013 (Journeys of June 2013)”, developing the installation “©BRAZIL EXPOSED”, for the main event of the Berliner art festival “48 Stunden Neukölln”, with the theme S.O.S – Kunst Rettet Welt (S.O.S – Art Saves the World).
In 2017 presented in Brasilia “A Tour in Berlin”, during the “International Dance and Performance Festival Marco Zero” and received from the publishing company Kazuá “Serpent Dramaturgy Award” for “Catraca Catraca, Vozes do Povo Brasileiro (Catracacatraca, Voices of the Brazilian People)”, based on the performance “Catracacatraca”.
In 2018 opened the cultural house “Casuarina”, receiving and promoting monthly performances from artists of Rio de Janeiro‘s cultural scene.
In 2019 premiered the intervention “Plan B” during the “Contemporary Art Circuit of Curitiba” at The Metropolitan Museum of Curitiba (MuMa) and participated in Belo Horizonte at “O Levante! Festival Internacional de Mulheres em Cena (The Raise! International Festival of Woman in Scene)” the monologue “Delação (Delation)”, in which based on Germany‘s history, traces parallels to the current Brazilian politics.
In 2020 concluded her studies on the Meisner acting technique, taught by Priscila Lima and in 2021 received a scholarship for the cinema course”Cinematógraphos” held by Casa Guilherme de Almeida, in São Paulo.
